1. Tell us where your farm is. NYALT currently focuses its land protection projects in Central New York. If your project is not in Central New York, feel free to contact us and we’ll try to help you find another land trust that can work with you.
   
   
2. Talk to us. Contact Maureen Knapp, Director of Land Conservation, to discuss your property’s size, location, and your conservation goals. NYALT will help you evaluate if your property is a match with NYALT’s conservation program.

Figure out what is right for you.  You will want to review the conservation options for your land. If you want to apply to the New York State Farmland Protection Program, you should also review their website and discuss your interest with your Town and/or County Farmland Protection Board.
