Pearce Farms was originally started by the Pearce family in 1915 as a pure-bred Holstein dairy farm in the Town of Aurelius, Cayuga County and continued until the mid-1980’s when it was converted to a cash crop operation. Ken Pearce, 4th generation, left the farm in 1978 to pursue a career as a military and commercial pilot. Ken returned to the area to pursue farming as a second career in 2005, purchasing land in the Town of Springport, and acquiring the family farmland from his grandmother’s estate in 2010. The entire farm is owned and operated by Ken and he currently produces hay (196 acres), soybeans (154 acres), corn (103 acres), and wheat (61 acres).
