His parents, nieces, nephews, and children all have current roles in day-to-day business operations. Hourigan Family Dairy currently milks 1,600 cows and cares for a total of 3,400 dairy animals. The business employs 30 full-time employees and hires 10 more part-time employees during planting and harvest seasons. They currently produce 160,000 pounds of milk per day (58.4 million pounds annually) which is shipped and processed by Byrne Dairy of Syracuse, NY. Hourigan Family Dairy is also the majority milk supplier for the company A2 Milk, which is a specialty milk for consumption by people with digestion issues.
